A Cape Cod Fourth of July

It's almost Independence Day! As we gear up to celebrate the red, white, and blue, Cape Cod stands ready to dazzle locals and visitors alike with an array of Fourth of July festivities. Join us as we uncover the top Fourth of July events across Cape Cod, where tradition meets celebration. The Cape has something for everyone to enjoy on this patriotic occasion. We have gathered what’s happening in each town from fireworks, parades, and community events to check out!


SANDWICH

June 28th,2024

Fireworks at 9:00pm

July 4th, 2024

Spirit of Sandwich Parade at 10:30 

5K Road Race at 8:00am

Family Picnic in the Park 12:00-2:00pm

All events will be held at the Henry T. Wing School, 33 Water St.


FALMOUTH

July 4th, 2024

Fireworks at Falmouth Heights Beach starting at dusk


MASHPEE

June 28th, 2024

Mashpee High School

Community Picnic with live music, entertainment and food trucks starting at 5pm, followed by fireworks at 9:15


BARNSTABLE

July 4th, 2024

Parade through Barnstable Village starting at 9:00am, followed by family activities at Hollow Playground

Joy4July Outdoor Concert by the Cape Symphony Orchestra at Michael K Aselton Memorial Park starting at 7:30pm

No fireworks this year until the Second Summer Celebration on August 31st


COTUIT

July 4th, 2024

Parade at 11:00am

The Route will start on School Street and turns left onto Main Street before continuing to the old Cotuit Elementary School property and ending in the public field behind the school.

July 5th, 2024

Firecracker Road Race at 6:00pm

CENTERVILLE

July 4th, 2024

Parade at 10:30am

Starting at Centerville Elementary School with raising the flag, giving the pledge of allegiance, and singing “America the Beautiful”.The route proceeds onto Bumps River Road, Park Avenue, and finally Main Street, ending at the Centerville Recreation Center rear parking lot.

HYANNIS

July 4th, 2024

Hyannis Marina Boat Parade 4:30-7:30 at the Hyannis Yacht Club, with best viewing from Bismore Park 

Downtown Hyannis Festivities with live music, vendors, and entertainment starting at 5pm


HYANNIS PORT

July 4th, 2024

Mini Marathon at 9am

Parade at 11am

Both Events start at the Post Office on Longwood Ave

Parade Route will take a left onto Washington Avenue; a right onto Lafayette Avenue; left onto Winchester Avenue; a left onto Scudder Avenue and continuing onto Dale Avenue, ending at the West Beach Club.


CHATHAM

July 2nd, 2024

Join the community at Veterans Field for Family Fun 6-8:30, Jeffrey Lowe Band 8:00-9:00, and ending the night with fireworks at 9pm

July 4th, 2024

Parade at 9:30am down Main Street; from Shore Rd. to Depot Rd.

Theme this year is “It’s a Shore Thing!”


ORLEANS

July 2nd, 2024

Rock Harbor Fireworks at Dusk

July 4th, 2024

Parade starting at 10:00am

The Parade will start from Eldredge Parkway, travel toward the lights at West Rd, then turn right onto Rt 6A. It will continue along Rt 6A to the intersection of Rt 6A and Main St, where it turns right. It then travels down Main St to the intersection of Rt 28, turns right, then marches along Rt 28, through the intersecton of Tonset road, onto Daley's Terrace. It then loops around onto Marstons Way, crosses Eldredge Parkway and ends in the parking lot at NRMS for the judging/ awards. 


PROVINCETOWN

July 4th, 2024

Fireworks at MacMillan Pier over the Harbor starting at Dusk 

Parade at 11am on Commercial Street; Harbor Hotel to Franklin Street


NANTUCKET

July 4th, 2024

Jetties Beach Fireworks at 9pm

Main Street Festivities 8:30-12:30: Farmers Market, Food Trucks, Fire Department Water Competition
